20 Years Gone But Not Forgotten

Hello! Welcome! I've been thinking about this blog for a long time. When my world turned upside down, I looked for community and support - and fortunately/unfortunately I didn't have many friends that have been through finding out their spouse of 20 years had been having an affair. Honestly a lot of my people weren't divorced. I felt alone. Luckily I had support and found a few people to talk through the hardest times. And my village, most that haven't been through my pain, are amazing and were there for me. I hope HOW'D I GET HERE? will provide some laughs, some guidance, and community for others like me that suddenly find themselves emerged in heartbreak and betrayal that seems un-survivable, and provides hope that there is light on the other side after breaking up with a cheater. Everyone's journey is different, I'm no therapist or have any extra letters behind my name, but I've certainly been on an adventure and as I keep going, I plan to share those tails! ABOUT ME

I’m so glad you’ve arrived. HOW'D I GET HERE? is where I plan to share with you my journey from the night I saw that dreadful Snapchat convo to where I am today and all the highs and lows in between. All the self reflection, tips, therapy notes, successes, failures, self-love, external love, back turns, hurts and more that I've experienced. I try to look at life as God has a path and I need to listen a little harder. I know I am blessed, just sometimes it is hard to see the blessing in the moment. No, I don't ALWAYS have this attitude, I do get lost. I hope to share those moments here too...brutal honesty. This has been HARD, and if I can help one woman, mom, wife, ex-wife, friend, spouse, person...my job here is done.
As divorce and heartbreak is too heavy, I'll also share what interests me most, sparking your excitement so that you can nurture your own passions and projects.
