Moving Forward

One of the scariest things a person can do is to become vulnerable again. Putting your heart out there again knowing what utter devastation that act could do to you. Whether giving that trust to a lover or friend, it is a gift to them. It is also a gift when you find someone who understands what is happening and pledges to protect it.

I have been blessed to find a man who I have now given that gift to completely. He has worked hard to get us there. He is doing the work to keep us there. Am I terrified? Hell yes. But I know this is a different love than I've experienced and that destroyed me before.
